Greenville Chamber awards gala highlights community

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce hosted its first annual awards gala this January, which highlighted the community and all the Chamber members who help make Greenville, Illinois, special.

“We had a wonderful evening that gave us a chance to honor some very special people in our community,” said Elaine McNamara, Executive Director of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

And the winners are…

Community Service Award – The Bridge Greenville (Dave and Erin Bradshaw), recognized for exceptional community involvement by a not-for-profit member through financial commitments, volunteerism, and community leadership.

 

Sustainability Award – Marcoot Jersey Creamery, recognized for prioritizing eco-friendly and sustainable practices in their business.

 

Modern Marketing Award – Thacker Insurance, recognizing a member who best utilizes their marketing budget to its fullest extent, using creative and forward-thinking methods, along with successful tried and true avenues.

 

Innovation Award – Double J Doggie Play N Stay, recognizing a member for pouring time, resources, and exuberant energy into both its business and the community.

 

Rising Star Award – Ashley Rench and Eric Drake (Espressions Coffee Roasting Co.), celebrating the importance of developing future business leaders by recognizing a member under the age of 30.

 

Beautification Award – Janie and Breck Nelson (Evergreen & Spruce Craft + Collective) awarded to a member who has invested in the community through improvements in the appearance and longevity of our public and business spaces.

 

Culture Creator Award – Darla Deiters (Kahuna’s Burgers -N- More), recognizing an employer that strives to nurture a workplace culture that allows employees to thrive.

 

Exceptional Employee Award – Shellie Simmonds (Thacker Insurance Service), honoring an employee that routinely goes above and beyond in professional endeavors.

 

Community Impact Award – Bradford National Bank, recognizing exceptional community involvement by a for profit member through financial commitments, volunteerism, and community leadership.

 

These nine awards were decided based on nominations that were open to the chamber membership (employers and their employees). A tenth award, the President’s Choice Award, was presented to Don and Jennifer Rick of The Pocahontas Mercantile & Sweet Shoppe, The Strand, and the Pocahontas Antique Mall.
